I'd like to thank all of the artists who have been handing is designs. We've gone with this design as the main image because of lack of time, but we will still use your images as alternate designes to advertise the play.

Directors Notes; 27th February 2009

All in all, a Brilliant day!
The first third was great - very few prompts, and everyone seems to be on top form. Same goes for the last third! The middle third needs a bit of work, with regards to line learning etc. but the bottom line is this;

I'm really pleased with where we're at. That doesn't mean that any of us can sit back and rest on our laurels, we've got a tough two weeks ahead of us, but it's also going to be a really fun two weeks. I can - for the first time - see the play in my mind's eye and it looks pretty good!

Some general notes for all;
VOLUME - Practice your Diaphragm breathing to get the volume our of your voices.
DICTION - Don't forget, there are 21 consonants in the English Language!
PACE - Not speed! Don't rush your lines, just don't leave gaps BETWEEN the lines.

I'm really looking forward to the next three (Agh!) rehearsals, and of course, the actual show!

A bit earlier than I thought, but... We're on for tomorrow!
The school is otherwise closed, so it may look closed when you get there, but I assure you - unless you hear it directly from me, then we're rehearsing.

Tomorrow - Part 1

As far as I can tell, it should be safe enough to get to School tomorrow for the rehearsal.

9 - 12 = Community Lounge, Principals
12 - 3 = Auditorium, Whole Cast (plus any crew who can make it)

Please check back here this evening - I am going to check all available weather information so Mr. Morrison, Stan and I can make an informed decision whether or not to go ahead.

It seems we're being struck with the Curse of the Mummy

UPDATED 9th FEB - Rescheduled Saturday Rehearsal

The Satruday Rehearsal will be on Saturday 27th February.

This means that we have three consecutive weekends of Rehearsals (the Sunday rehearsals start the following week). This should give us a good feeling of momentum running into Show Week, and will give us plenty of chance for run throughs with the Full Cast.

Any problems, please let me know before Wednesday 17th February.

Cancellation!!

Hi Everyone,

I think we're victims of the Mummy's curse - we just don't seem to catch a break with the weather!

Due to the snow and very icy roads, this Saturday's rehearsal (30th Jan 2010) has been cancelled. Sorry for the short notice.

Keep checking the blog and the noticeboard outside Room 40 for an updated rehearsal schedule.

Dr Fraser (on behalf of Mr Harris) - who is sitting in a lay-by near Rothes trying to phone everyone.

Extra Rehearsal

There will be an additional rehearsal on SATURDAY 30th JANUARY to catch up on lost time because of weather, Christmas parties, etc.

Timetable for the day is as follows;
PRINCIPAL CHARACTERS - 9am - 3pm
WHOLE CAST - 12pm - 3pm

If you cannot make this rehearsal, please let me know by the end of Friday this week.
